Thursday headed out to Giverney, the place where Monet lived for 43 yeas...building beautiful gardens and water gardens while painting his famous works. The day was beautiful and “Marsha” (GPS) took us on some really nice back roads to get there….but we did get there. The house that he lived in is still there and we were able to go in many rooms…A room that he had all of his paintings set up on the wall….none of the originals of course….the upstairs bedrooms with views of the garden, the yellow dining room and the blue tiled kitchen.(we couldn't take pictures in the house)

The water gardens are especially beautiful….everywhere you look it is a Monet scene….the water lilies were blooming and the paths and the bridges, picture perfect….except for all the people of course.
We spent a lot of time and a little money at the gift store then took a walk through the little town which was center for a lot of other artists. We found a park and had our picnic lunch. A few rain showers during the day but then sunshine.
We made our way home about 5:00.….Marsha really taking us on an interesting tour of the backroads outside of Paris through the countryside and back into the city through rushhour traffic. Paul and Marsha did a great job of getting us home.
Arrived home home about 7:30 and spent the evening catching up a little with laundry and blogging.
